This piece was captured at Diamond Beach, near the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. It holds two ways of experiencing that beauty in a single frame: the wide, open view of black volcanic beach scattered with giant blocks of ice, and a closer look at the ice itself, sun-lit from behind by the last rays of an October sunset.
