Land of Ice

from $75.00

"Land of Ice" is piece No.18 from the Surreal Scapes exhibition, a collection of original landscapes created from real photos by Andrés Caldeh.

Iceland may have the most spectacular nature in the world, its landscapes protected and kept in a way few other places can match. This piece was captured at Diamond Beach, near the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. It holds two ways of experiencing that beauty in a single frame: the wide, open view of black volcanic beach scattered with giant blocks of ice, and a closer look at the ice itself, sun-lit from behind by the last rays of an October sunset.

This piece is composed by simply layering two real landscape photographs one on top of the other. No AI is used in any piece of this collection.

If you so desire, every piece can also be displayed flipped upside down, revealing another perspective within the same frame.
