Production Proposal
Du-Bak
Gallery
Visual identity for Gallery launch
The project
A gallery that arrives,
not just opens
Du-Bak is launching with a collection that deserves to be seen properly — by collectors, by press, by anyone who will encounter the gallery first through a screen before they walk through its doors.
This proposal outlines how Cal Media would approach the complete visual documentation of the gallery: from the individual pieces in the collection through to the space itself, captured with the precision and atmosphere that each work merits.
Our reference point — Gallery FUMI — is instructive. Their work demonstrates that the best gallery photography does not merely document an object. It communicates its weight, texture, and intention. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Our approach
Project Workflow
Location & planning day
Before any shooting begins, our leads visit the gallery, assess light conditions, plan the setup for each piece and define the shooting sequence.
One setup per piece — photo and video together
For each of the 25 pieces we build the lighting setup once. We capture all photography angles first, then immediately capture video in the same conditions before moving on to the next piece. This means the collection is documented with consistency across every medium. Also keeps production timeline tight.
The space as a work in its own right
Beyond the collection documentation, we dedicate time to photographing the gallery itself — its architecture, its atmosphere, its character as a curated environment. Collectors and press encounter the space long before they visit in person.
Portraits of the people behind the gallery
A gallery of this calibre is inseparable from the vision of the people who built it. We photograph the founder and team in a way that feels considered rather than corporate. At this level, collectors buy from people as much as from institutions.

Three ways to commission

Schedule
Proposed timeline
We are available across the third and fourth weeks of June 2026 — June 16 to 20 and June 23 to 27. We would be happy to align on specific dates once you have confirmed the scope. Below is how the production week would be structured.
Location & planning
Both leads and the local producer visit the gallery. We walk every piece, define lighting positions, agree the shooting sequence and prepare for the days ahead.
Collection shoot
Five consecutive shoot days. Each piece receives one lighting setup — photography captured first, video immediately following in the same conditions. Approximately five pieces per day, sequenced for efficiency and consistency.
Space & portraits
Architectural photography of the gallery and portrait session with the founder and team, woven into the shoot schedule to make the best use of available time.
Editing, retouching & delivery
All assets retouched, graded and prepared in-house. Final delivery within 21 working days of shoot completion, subject to timely approval of selects.
Worth knowing
A few things included
Accommodation
Our team has accommodation available in Beirut for the duration of the project. This cost is absorbed by Cal Media and does not appear anywhere in the investment — something that would typically be a significant additional line on any international production.
Licence included
A non-exclusive commercial licence is included across all packages, covering website, social channels and physical print materials. No separate licensing fees or usage restrictions for standard marketing and gallery purposes.
Local production crew
A full local crew — lighting technician and on-site producer — is included and managed entirely by Cal Media. Du-Bak does not need to source, coordinate or brief any additional personnel for the shoot.
In-house post-production
All retouching, colour grading, video editing and sound design is handled in-house by our own team. No outsourcing, no handoffs. Consistent quality control from first frame to final delivery.
Ready to begin
when you are
Once you have confirmed the scope, we will align on specific dates and move to a formal agreement. We look forward to it.
